Fairy Season does it again, with this simply gorgeous cold-shoulder cover up in my favorite pink and green. I don't think they have a product that I wouldn't like, their products are just too stunning!! This is another coverup for swim, and I think this is my third that I own. I really do like them as you will be able to tell, because I have two of their cardigans as well. Their knitwear is ALL outstanding and beautiful, truly every piece I wearable art. So, on to the good stuff!! I needed a cover up to go with my pink swimsuit for a party, and I never have to go any further than Fairy Season. This fun cover up is TTS so definitely make sure you know your measurements because although it is knit, it doesn't have a ton of stretch, but it does have a little. I would size up if you want it oversized, but don't otherwise. The yarn is 60% cotton, and 40% acrylic. Cotton yarn notoriously doesn't offer a lot of stretch, but the acrylic does. These pieces are durable yet delicate, so the label says to hand wash in cold water, and I would lay flat to dry.The daisy motif of the knot is such a classic and invokes the 60's to me. It is adorable, and the colors all go so well together in pink and green with a splash of lavender and aqua. It I very comfortable and easy to wear, and the fringe just truly "makes" it!! One feature I love is POCKETS!! You gotta have 'em!! You can stash your lipgloss in one and sunglasses in the other, leaving your hand free to hold your sunhat The cold-shoulder is nice because it means sleeves, and sometimes you need a little coverage in that department if you are a little older. It feels good on, and offers you stylish coverage when in your suit. This could easily take you to an outdoor patio restaurant if you wanted to go. Otherwise, it's just so darn cute, how could you not? One thing to be mindful of when wearing open knit work such as this is to be wary of snags. Go easy on the jewelry as well when wearing. Every Fairy Season piece comes in its own velvety brown bag with satin ribbon to keep it safe when not wearing. It's actually quite suitable for gifting!! It looks exactly as it is pictured on Amazon. I know Fairy Season pieces are a little more expensive than a sarong, but you are wearing a piece of art that makes a statement, so why the heck not!! I ordered a size large based on the size chart and because of the long sleeves, but I probably could have sized down to a medium for a more fitted look. On the model, the outfit appears a bit more tailored, while mine fits slightly looser. Sizing is the only challenge I‘ve found with this brand as some styles fit me perfectly in a medium, while others require a large because of the sleeves or cut.
Although this is designed as a cover-up, I think it can easily be worn as an outfit on its own. The matching shorts and top create a coordinated look that feels more like a fashionable resort set than typical swimwear. You could even wear a bandeau or camisole underneath the top and comfortably wear it around town, to lunch, or on vacation. In fact, it’s so cute that I wouldn‘t necessarily want to wear it around the pool where it could get snagged or damaged.
The quality is excellent, which has been my experience with Fairy Season products in general. Everything feels well made, modern, and thoughtfully designed. At around $100, I think the price is fair considering you’e getting two pieces. The crochet flowers look well constructed. I have an olive skin tone, so I do like how the white and pastels look on me. The cover up is lightweight. I also like how it doesn’t make me lose my shape like other dresses do. I also would just say that I am a 36DD, and higher necklines don‘t look very flattering on me/my body type. But this is still a beautiful item that I plan to wear and would recommend.

Being crocheted, I was concerned that the top might reveal too much if not wearing a bra but surprisingly it offers good coverage. I like that the skirt has a drawstring at waist so you can adjust the fit to either cover or show bellybutton. The size chart seems accurate and the top has ties for sizing adjustments. Very good quality fabric and wooden bead accents. Cute yet sexy but tassels (especially hanging over legs) can get twisted though easily fall back in place. Very nice set for vacation wear or a "hot" summer night! :)

The outfit is adorable and well made; true to what I have experienced in the past with FAIRY SEASON. I am a 38DDD (sometimes a 40DD) and the top fit me well. I didn't feel uncomfortable or like I was on the verge of spilling out of my top. The sarong/skirt ties around the waist so it fit my wider hips and thighs perfectly.
I lean more towards gothic/punk/alternative styles but I love a lot of boho looks too, and this is such a perfect combo of the two. I am not crazy about the wooden beads, but that's not going to keep me from wearing it.
