Yes, there is gold thread that adds a subtle glimmer to the piece that you can't see very well in the product description photos. Hopefully you can see it a little better in the photos I've uploaded. The rest is cotton crochet. The item I have has no stitching or construction flaws, and is a well-made piece.COLOR ACCURACYI got the apricot color in size small. "Apricot" makes you think this is going to be a peachy color, but I'd say it's an off-white. The photo for apricot shows the item as it is - off-white. Trust the photo and not the color name for the apricot version.DESIGN DETAILSThe button closure is a round pearly button with metallic trim (see photo). It looks elegant and is a nice touch. The product description says that this piece has "Vintage Elegance with a Modern Fit," and I agree - it does feel vintage, but not necessarily with "old-lady" vibes.FIT & SIZINGAt 5'1" and 125 lbs, the fit of the small is a little snug around my upper arms, and the sleeve length extends almost to my knuckles. However, looking at the models in the product description photos, it seems the sleeves are meant to be that way. It otherwise looks nice on, and my husband actually said he likes it. He doesn't like anything.CARE INSTRUCTIONSThere are no care instructions on the label, but the product description does say to "hand wash in cold water and lay flat to dry." Given the delicate crochet construction, this seems necessary to maintain the shape.VALUE ANALYSISThis seems a fairly price to me at $80. I think it worth of what you're getting. Yes, the construction is nice and the details are elegant, but it's still a cotton machine-crocheted cardigan.STYLINGThe description suggests layering it "over a silk dress for evening parties" or "over a blouse for a professional office look." It does seem like it will work well as a layering piece for dressier occasions, but I plan on pairing it with jeans and wearing a camisole underneath for more casual occasions.FINAL VERDICTThis is a beautiful crochet cardigan with nice construction and elegant details. The gold thread adds a subtle glimmer, the button is a lovely touch, and the vintage pattern looks sophisticated. The fit is good (though snug in the upper arms for me). If you love the style and don't hesitate, it's a pretty piece that will dress up your wardrobe.

Wow this is absolutely gorgeous! It really does look just as good in person as in the pics (glamour shots). Better actually, because there's a slight sparkle to it that I wasn't expecting thanks to a bit of glitter thread. It looks and feels so elegant, I love the fit - the sleeves are long which looks fantastic. Since its open crochet style it offers just enough warmth around the shoulders to be worn in pretty much any weather.When the package your clothing comes in is too nice to throw away, you know its going to be something special! Excellent quality, beautiful and comfortable. Versatile enough to fit any style, perfect for a night out. I want one in every color!!

This is elegantly presented and would make a very nice gift.I found it a little boxy and wish it had a button before the bust so it could be more fitted. But, it's comfortable to wear and the fabric and pattern are lovely. I noticed this seller does have a full buttoned item similar to this but it has a straight hem whereas the scalloped hem of this item is very charming.Is it worth $70+? Not sure. But it's definitely much better made than the standard.
